India’s Nuclear Football Secret Revealed

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

The Nuclear Football is a black briefcase, the contents of which is to be used by the President of the United States of America to authorize a nuclear attack while away from fixed command centers, such as the White House Situation Room.
A replica of this was gifted to India when we bought a billion dollar worth C-17 aircrafts from Russia in 2002.Since then it is handed over to the prime minister or the puppet man/woman(party president) after each election. As we have several internal strikes like poverty, corruption and separate state to worry about, forgetting about the nuclear strikes this briefcase is being used to store the CBI's database passwords.
Since then the CBI has the only information the party in power provides them with and they have to wait for the opposition to come to power to work on the current party scams.

Life-Space Analysis and Goal Setting

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

Life happens in seven days, Monday to Sunday. Whatever you do, however you feel it happens with in these seven day cycles. Without a goal it will just be the same seven days that keep coming back. So, goal setting is the first step to begin your conscious life. The CEO of a Silicon Valley start-up and a yogi in the Himalayas both has goals for their life. While the CEOs goal is for his company to make it to the fortune five hundred list, the yogi wants to realize god. Whether they achieve their goals or not they know what they are going to do each day when they wake up. The entrepreneur is busy finding new clients and the Yogi is busy mastering yoga practices and reading spiritual scriptures.
Understanding the context of our life will help us come up with the goals which when achieved will positively move it forward. At a high level, our life context can be divided in to the following areas.
Work
Family
Health
Wealth
Social
Spiritual
Do a life-space analysis and see where you stand in each of these six areas. Coming up with goals around these areas will keep us focused and our day balanced. For example a goal in the family space could be spending more time with your kid. A goal in the social space is to stay in touch with your friends and making new friends each month. A career goal could be to run a company of your own or become the vice president of your current company. A spiritual goal would be to visit a temple or a church once a week or practice yoga to keep your mind and senses calm.
Thousands of books and articles have been written that will help you set goals. Here is a link that briefs on how to create SMART goals. While you work using the SMART Goal principles to set and plan your goals in the six areas mentioned above the following guidelines will help you in your journey to reach them.
Get to the specifics
While planning your goals makes sure you get to the low level details quickly. For example, if your goal in the career space is to become a pilot. Instead of reading hundred books on 'How to fly in 24 hours' ,taking up the required training and getting your hands on to a real flight will get you closer to your goal.
Striking a Balance
How many times in our lives have we experienced the chain reaction of disaster? When a investment in stock market ends up at a wrong time(Financial Space) ,you get frustrated and can't concentrate on your job(Work),as the work pressure increases you don’t spend attention to your wife and kids(Family) and finally you will not pay your rent on time and end up paying the interest(Financial)
When things don't happen as expected in one of the spaces, instead of getting distressed we should convert the negative energy from that area to a positive energy in other areas. This will keep us away from the chain reaction of disaster and pull us back on track. From my personal experience, while working on my goals in any of six spaces when I feel imbalanced or a setback, spending more time in the spiritual space always got me back on track. This also helped me get to the core of the problems and find permanent solutions to the otherwise repeating problems.
Review and Learn
Going back to the seven day principle you should stop at the end of each seven day cycle (week) and spend some time evaluating the progress you made towards your goals. Sit in a calm place meditate for a minute and list what went wrong, what went right and the insights for the future. Using these insights to plan your work for the next seven days will help improve by not making the same mistakes again. Repeat this exercise once every month, three months and then end of the year.
It is better to have a silly or an unreachable goal than not having one. So set your goals for the six key areas of your life. Meditate and evaluate at the end of those seven days. As you keep yourself busy working on these goals you will not only learn and grow each moment but also will keep your brain processor busy. As we all know idle brain is devils workshop and having goals keeps you away from that nasty thoughts. By just setting a goal for yourself you have already moved to a different plain of life.

Consultancy Guest House - Part 1

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

Welcome to the Jurassic Park
The New Jersey sun’s rays passed through the window blinds and pierced my eyes open. Next to me are my new HP laptop, cell phone and some Mother India calling cards. I share this master bed room with Anand Naidu and Pavan Theodore. Anand got married recently and is desperate to crack an interview and bring his wife from India. Pavan on the other hand has seen life and has built his fortress of philosophy which he unveils every night after the first round of beers. He is here only to clear his home loan which is breathing its last breath in India. On Pavans left is the closet where we dumped our check in baggages. Next to it is the rest room .It is my fourth day in this country and I am getting used to the no bucket no mug hot and cold water showers.
As I walk towards the living room rubbing my eyes, the room on my right is the devils bedroom. Deepak Patel lives there alone, not because he snores bad but because of his weird habits. He wakes up late night, sits in a corner and chants some mantras, scaring the hell out of Pavan and Anand. Every Thursday night he wakes up at midnight, talks to someone on the phone and then calls for a cab and leaves.
That’s Prabhu lying on the living room couch. Living up to his name he is the King, at least he thinks so. In his mid thirties, he is the senior most and has been a lifetime member of this consultancy and he loves it here. He is the one who received and introduced us all to our new home - The Guesthouse.
That sliding door separates the living room from the patio. Breaking the peace treaty of the place and making nasty noise it slides every time Pavan goes out for a smoke or when the bar opens on the Balcony Deck, Seven O Clock sharp every night.
Like a homeless person on the railway platform, dishes are lying in the kitchen sink for the last three days. I see stains of egg yolk on the wooden cabinet, tiny omelet pieces next to the electric stove and smell of beer all over, looks like they had their second round last night. That’s our cooking schedule under the magnet bottle opener on the fridge door. Yeah we take turns - on paper. Patel doesn’t cook. He patiently waits for us to cook and then walks in like a lord asking – ‘ Khane me kya hai’?’ .  Adding fuel to the fire, he brings his lunch box. He is the only one who takes lunch to work. Frustrating further he steals two beers every night, claiming he will give up drinking once he gets a job offer. Unlike the grocery shopping for which they can call the free consultancy cab, they adventurously walk on the imaginary sidewalk for a couple of miles and then miraculously cross the US-1 Highway to Wines and Spirits to grab a twelve pack. We always wanted to take Patel to India on a special flight and beat him to near death on the way. The only thing stopping us from that here is 911.
As I open the door to feel the beautiful day out, wishing me good morning two Roaches lie dead on the doormat. Kicking them on to the neighbor’s side, I ran down the stairs and out opening the building door. Like those placement vendors on phone, we cannot trust the January sun light. While it looks bright and hot from inside, it is freezing cold outside .I hopped back in quickly picking the news paper.

Say NO To Crazy Competition

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

Before i dive in to the personal development topics like facing fear, goal setting ,belief system etc i felt like writing on what i call Crazy Competition which has become a menace to our lives. As we tend to look at others to make a decision for us and our kids our thought process quickly narrows down killing our individuality.

Families are loosing health and wealth trying to run a  business or buy a fortress only due to peer pressure or to maintain status. As the job markets weaken and real-estate markets crash they fall in to a abysmal of depression. What is the use of having a palace if you have to live all alone?.Isn't it like building a fortress on a cemetery? What is the use of having a all variety breakfast, when you have to think twice before adding sugar to your coffee?

Yes kids need activity. But tennis, dance, karate on the weekdays and gymnastics and swimming on the weekends. Do they really deserve this exhaustive schedule which also makes the parents tired as they escort them? This as competition for an unknown goal; These activities also eat up a considerable amount from every paycheck. This could also be related to a recent South Asian cultural event  in New Jersey, where mothers made their kids learn a very old dance style which is close to extinction .This is not because of their love for the culture or dance but it only gives their kids an easy entry on to the stage and all the recognition there after. The more we bought into the crazy competitiveness of our time, the more we tend to suffer as parents. Cutting down on these would allow us to spend quality time with our children or may be even going on a memorable road trip. While it is necessary for kids to compete and excel ,It is important for them to play with each other and to share to be good humans.

With today’s ever changing mindsets it is still important for us to look at the society and play an active role to make it a better one. But it is even more crucial to look in to our-self and decide on what is it that keeps us and our family happy. It is the responsibility of the elderly who have experienced life, not to encourage this crazy competition but teach their kids and grand kids on how to live in harmony.Do not let crazy competition take over your life and health. No matter how much we read or hear about living consciously it will work only if we introspect and self check every moment.

There are always choices in life and it is our responsibility to make one consciously!

Documentary making tips

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

Research on the subject
Once you select an interesting subject, the more time you spend on the research the better your final product will be. Although a documentary depicts facts, it is important to come up with an angle that will make your documentary stand out. And the research will help your arrive at just that. You will be surprised to see how interested people will be to talk about their work and to show it off on a video. You might even find a new angle for your documentary once you talk to them.
Research the place, permissions and people
Never assume anything even when you know the Mr. President of a place. Talk to the security personnel and also make sure the legal advisers are OK with your shoot. I have learnt this the hard way while shooting my thirty second Identity Theft Video. Visiting the factory outlet every month and spending my hard earned money did not give me the right to shoot inside the stores. On the day of the shoot, with great respect they said they will get back to me after talking to their legal department. Thanks to my professors warning, I was ready with some back up exterior shots on the story board which helped finish the video without losing time and the desired outcome. Visit the location and know about it inside out. See which parts of the location you have access to and those you don’t.
Hire a guide
If you are new to the culture or customs of the place or if you do not speak the local language, have a guide from the area. They might get you the information and access to the remotest local places which you might not even know otherwise.
Be on time or early
Reaching the location early will give you the time to shoot those wide establishing shots, cutaways and record some ambient sound. You can then concentrate on the A-Roll shots when the place opens up or the subject is ready.
Treat the crew well
Keep the crew well informed on the details of the documentary. Make sure they know the location and provide them the required transportation details in advance. Occasionally treat them to breakfast or lunch. While shooting my SKI Patrol Documentary, buying lunch to my subject at what was supposed to be the end of the shoot actually opened doors to new ideas as he shared his thoughts much more openly. We ended up shooting for an hour post lunch for the best of the shots.
Shoot enough B-Roll
B-Roll is the part of the visuals which will show what the subject is talking about. For example if you are interviewing a soccer team coach, B-Roll would be the shots of the coach training the players in the field. During editing, this will go in between the interview video appropriately.
Shoot a lot of cut away shots
Along with the B-Roll having numerous cutaway shots will help you soften the transition from one shot to another during the editing phase.
Collect pictures and any supporting Arts and Crafts
Pictures, trophies etc give your documentary not only the credibility but also a nostalgic feel. If you are shooting at shiny objects like photo frames, shoot at an angle to avoid the light reflection and also not to see yourself in the video.
Record ambient sound
A smooth video should have a soft audio. Otherwise the viewer will notice a disturbing jump in between scenes. Record long enough ambient sound. During edit, when you put this on the second audio line it will give a pleasant feel as the video progresses.
Talent Releases and Brands
From the subject to a by stander if they are part of your video make sure you get a talent release signed right there and then. While shooting your B-Roll, make sure no brands or logos creep in to the video. I have heard numerous stories of films getting delayed as they fight for the required brand permissions during the post production phase.
Here is one Talent Release Form Template that you can use.
Last and my all time favorite tip (All Star Rating)
However well planned you are things will go wrong. When you are mentally prepared for this you will be less frustrated, which in turn allows you to think better and make the best of what you have on a given day. Not after returning the camera and landing in the editing lab did I realize that half of the shots on the tape were blank due to damaged camera head. Having good enough cut always and B-Roll made my day :)

ప్రేమ - జిందగీ

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

Three - Not Idiots But Software Engineers

Visit my new portal bharaththippireddy.net

In the beautiful garden city of Bangalore live three good friends. Hailing from the same village they are not just friends but best friends from school days who shared the success and cigarettes, punishments and beedis. It took them two years to realize that job search unlike college is a drainage. Recently one after the other they got in to a small software company. Seven thousand rupees is the salary and not a paisa more. On the other hand their monthly expenses are ten thousand rupees and not a paisa less. They can’t ask their parents to help. Not because they are shy or they feel responsible but because of their build up in their village an year ago. As per their parents they work for Oracle, TCS and Microsoft.

If they have to visit home only one of them will go at a time. Not because their presence at work is so important that the projects get delayed. The catch here is - if one of them has to go home the other two should donate their gold chains and rings to the pawn broker. When we say we work for Oracle we need to accommodate the expectations and expenses from friends and family right?

Those three whose names when uttered can terminate the mess accounts.

Those three whose cards when used can crash the ATM machines.

The three when they enter can make the To-let boards fall on the ground are...

Rambabu - Competing with Mohammad Gajini he recently finished his sixteenth wedding invasion/interview. After eating the sweets and talking to the girl he informed his father that he liked the first girl he met a couple of years ago. Telling him that she is a mother of two now, his father requested him not to come back.

Avinash - Enjoying every moment he is not in a hurry for money or marriage. He is the only satellite out of the three which is far from planet Saturn AKA Sani.

Baala - Earthquake or a tsunami he will complete his work whether its kitchen or office.

It is neither a normal Monday nor an auspicious one but a very important end of the month salary day Monday.

Avinash used his 2G Bank ATM card and punched the pin.

Talking 2G Bank ATM:

(Printing the receipt) It’s party time Dude. Your salary has been credited to your account.

Instead of the regular seven thousand the receipt showed fourteen thousand. Surprised the three of them heard the same background score - "Kaj ra rae ... Kaj ra re Kaj Ra rae"

Avinash:

Do you think they have credited my salary twice?

Rambabu:

It happened to me once. Excited I have partied with the cashI had in my valet and the money in my account was gone the next day.

Bala:

How can the banks do that?

Rambabu:

As long as they have the money they can do anything. You should withdraw the entire amount.

Avinash:

You mean the entire seven thousand?

Rambabu:

No the whole fourteen thousand.

Avinash:

But ?

Rambabu:

When you got money you should know how to spend it and if you don’t know how to spend it you should not have any money. Looks like girls and money run for those who don't care for them.

He shouts for an Auto.

Avinash:

Where are we going?

Rambabu:

Forum.

Bala:

What about the work?

Rambabu:

The stock markets won't crash if we are off for a day. So let’s enjoy!

That afternoon , under the supervision of Rambabu they watched  'Harry Porter - It All Ends' at PVR Royal Class paying 500 Rs per Ticket .After some expensive shopping at Brigade and other important duties at NASA pub by the time they reached home it was 2 AM in the morning and seven thousand in Avinashs valet.

By the time their hangovers were cured it was 1 PM the next day.Rambabu used his ATM card and punched the pin.

Talking 2G banks ATM:

Why the hell did you put your card in? I think the number zero was invented for people like you. Balance is Zero Babu Rambabu.

Shocked, the three of them hear the same background score -

"Jina Yahaa Marnaa Yahaa.."

Rambabu:

(Looking at Avinash) my only doubt is whether they have deposited my salary in your account or did they pull the amount back from mine since they paid you twice?

Avinaash:

Dont even think about it.

Rambabu:

No i am just saying...

Avinaash:

(Even before Rambabu completes his sentence) I will not give you a penny.

Bala:

(Looking at Rambabu Sarcastically) In spite of all this, your philosophy of life is super mamu.
Looks like girls and money run away from those who care too much.
